Clandestine Labs and Forms of Methamphetamine
Clandestine Drug Labs:
Prevalence and Location of Clandestine Labs

MA clandestine labs can be located almost anywhere.  They have been found not only in rural areas, but also in residential, commercial, and industrial districts.  In addition, mobile clandestine labs have also been recovered in vehicles, boats, and luggage.[1]

The number of clandestine lab seizures has dropped sharply in Arizona, possibly due to regulations targeting methamphetamine precursor chemicals (which make it harder to produce the drug) and possibly due to increased production in Mexico (which has made local production less lucrative).
